Axios says multiple major US banks have discovered unauthorized third-party AI Agents appearing in customer accounts

Axios reported that U.S. banks such as Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Citi found unauthorized third-party AI Agents in customer accounts, some of which attempted to initiate operations on their own without user instructions. Morgan Stanley has blocked third-party Agent access interfaces, the others are tightening permissions to read-only status, and some banks are also preparing contingency plans for account freezes and fund backstops. Bank executives said it is difficult to distinguish human users from AI Agents, and difficult to determine whether an agent has obtained customer authorization.

Anthropic Donates Agent Skills Standard to Agentic AI Foundation

Anthropic announced that it is donating the Agent Skills standard to the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF) under the Linux Foundation, in order to keep it open, community-driven, and vendor-neutral. The AAIF was co-founded last year by Anthropic along with Block and OpenAI, and the MCP specification had previously been donated to this foundation as well. Simon Willison noted that he had predicted this development last December, and used the MCP plugin on simonwillison.net to retrieve that prediction of his from that time.

Agentic AI Foundation Adds Four Projects, Hosted Projects Reach 10 in First Year

The Agentic AI Foundation announced on October 22, 2026 the addition of four hosted projects: Agent Skills contributed by Anthropic, Open Responses contributed by OpenAI, OpenEnv contributed by Hugging Face, and OpenSandbox contributed by Alibaba, bringing the total number of hosted projects from 3 at its founding in December 2025 to 10. The four projects correspond to four layers: agents acquiring skills, applications invoking models across vendors, agent training and evaluation, and secure agent operation. Agent Skills is open-sourced under Apache 2.0 and CC BY 4.0, already supported by more than 70 agent platforms, with over 1 million skills published and nearly 280 million installs; Open Responses defines shared schemas and streaming events based on the OpenAI Responses API, with implementations already provided by Databricks Model Serving and Vercel AI Gateway.

TestingCatalog says Google has terminated the Jules AI agent

On October 30, 2026, TestingCatalog reported that Google will terminate its AI coding agent Jules. Phoenix Technology reported the same day that Google will gradually shut down Jules, which was launched in December 2024, and will integrate the experience accumulated from the tool into its AI coding platform Antigravity; Jules' official X account stated that Jules was originally an experiment exploring how asynchronous coding agents could help developers ship faster, and that its experience has already influenced multiple Google products. cnBeta reported the same day that Jules will gradually cease operations, less than two years after its launch, and that the team is integrating the experience into Antigravity so that users can both autonomously execute background tasks in remote environments and use an agent-centric development environment. The current status is gradual shutdown and experience integration.
