Adobe Premiere mobile users will soon be able to add licensed music from two of the world’s biggest music companies to their videos. Here are the details.
Adobe licenses music from Universal and Warner
Adobe today announced a partnership with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group that will let Premiere mobile users browse and add music from popular artists to their videos directly within the app.
By combining music from two of the world’s leading music companies with Premiere mobile’s pro-level video editing tools, we’re making it easier for you to discover the tracks you love, shape your video around the music and share your stories, all in one free app
As Adobe explains, the tracks will be licensed for personal, non-commercial use. The company added that Adobe Stock Audio will remain available for projects that require commercially licensed music.
Here’s what users will be able to do once the new features become available, per Adobe:
Find the right track, faster: Browse, search and preview trending music by artist or track, filter by genre and duration, bookmark favorites and explore popular music through label-featured collections.
Build your edit to the music: Add up to 60 seconds of a popular track directly to the video
Create with music-powered templates: Jump-start an edit with customizable templates paired with music, bringing the track and visual story together from the beginning.
Share across platforms: Export finished videos in Premiere mobile and post to your favorite licensed social platforms.
The new music library will complement Premiere mobile’s existing features, which include tools for cleaning up audio recordings, advanced video editing capabilities, and AI-powered asset generation through Adobe Firefly.
The company didn’t provide an exact date for when the new music library will become available, nor whether tracks from both companies will arrive at the same time. The announcement also didn’t specify how many songs will be included or whether the agreements cover the companies’ entire music catalogs. Adobe said only that the new features are “coming soon.”
