Oracle announced Oracle Media Fabric on October 27, 2026, at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas, an integrated platform that combines AI-powered production, enterprise media models, and distributed video delivery for media companies, streaming providers, and brands.
Oracle said the platform is designed to reduce content production time and cost, distribute and stream high-quality video at scale, and create more personalized experiences for viewers. According to the company, Media Fabric brings content creation and streaming capabilities once available only to the largest proprietary streaming platforms to content creators of all sizes. By connecting AI-powered creative tools with video delivery infrastructure built around open standards, the platform enables audience-specific advertising, tailored programming, and shared viewing experiences, the company said.
“Creating content and delivering it to viewers were separate processes,” said Clay Magouyrk, CEO of Oracle. “With Oracle Media Fabric, we’re bringing content creation and streaming together, using AI across the entire production and distribution workflow.” Magouyrk said the approach helps creators reduce production time and cost, make better use of their existing content, and tailor viewing experiences for different audiences in real time.
Platform Components
The announcement presents Media Fabric as bringing together Oracle Creative Studio, Oracle AI Media Models, and Oracle Video Edge, with the Oracle Adaptive Media Platform, powered by Creative Studio and Video Edge, connecting creation and delivery. Oracle said the platform includes safeguards to help protect customers’ intellectual property and reduce the risk of generated content infringing the intellectual property rights of others.
Oracle Creative Studio is an AI-powered production suite for professional media teams and a broad range of creators, built to turn ideas into storyboards, scenes, cinematic video, visual effects, and virtual characters. Oracle described the suite as model-agnostic: it combines Oracle AI Media Models with third-party models and can select models for each creative task based on requirements for security, provenance, cost, and IP protection.
Oracle AI Media Models are Oracle-developed models focused on video generation, image generation, and image editing. Oracle said they are intended to help media studios and entertainment companies accelerate content creation while maintaining creative control, enabling governed, large-scale media processing, intelligent curation and search, and frontier-model customization on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Oracle Video Edge is an AI-enabled managed platform for broadcasters and streaming providers running large-scale live events. Oracle said it uses real-time network and playback information to coordinate capacity and direct viewers to suitable delivery locations across OCI and participating content delivery network and internet service provider networks, with the aim of keeping video quality high and latency low so playback starts fast and remains smooth as audience sizes peak.
Earlier Oracle Video Delivery Work
The delivery component announced as Oracle Video Edge shares its name with Oracle Video @ Edge, a service the company’s media services staff had been documenting publicly for months before the announcement. In a March 16, 2026, post on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure blog, principal product manager Dustin Encelewski and software development director Arvind Suryakumar described Oracle Video @ Edge as a media delivery service designed for large-scale live and premium streaming workloads, progressing from beta toward general availability.
The authors wrote that HTTP-based delivery, while effective for video on demand and buffered playback, was not originally designed to handle the “thundering herd” patterns of large-scale live events efficiently, which led the team to explore Media over QUIC. The post laid out an architecture with multi-protocol ingest that normalizes delivery feeds into MoQ object streams, a cloud-native relay fleet for regional fanout and autoscaling, adaptive playback logic with bitrate-aware track switching, flexible delivery paths with CDN federation models, and integrated telemetry for routing and performance optimization. Near-term priorities listed in the post included CDN and ISP interconnect, monetization with dynamic ad delivery, and content protection with digital rights management.
In an April 8, 2026, post ahead of the NAB Show, the same authors described Oracle Video @ Edge as functioning as a relay network for Media over QUIC Transport, the IETF wire protocol, rather than as a content delivery network origin or traditional media server. That post detailed partner demonstrations planned for the show: Ateme real-time encoding feeding the Oracle Video @ Edge relay fabric, Broadpeak packaging, CDN delivery with Cloudflare and Broadpeak, and playback through Bitmovin’s Player Web X, with edge egress bridging MoQT streams to CMAF and HLS formats.
Oracle said Media Fabric is planned to be available within the next 12 months.
